I just bought six string custom Europa, and was hoping I could get more info on it.  The only thing I know about this thing is that it rocks!

Hi Bareass and welcome to the forum. In case you haven't been reading the forum before posting your first thread, it can take a while for these requests to get updated on the forum. However,  if you have photo's of your bass we can certainly give you some information about your bass before the official word comes from Mica at Alembic.

I'd venture all-maple neck, mahogany core, maple accent, yummy walnut top, & Signature electronics w/LED switch.

Hi there bareass, Europa basses usually come with Europa electronics however in your case you have the Signature electronics so you have much more control of your sound. Here is a link to how the electroncs work.

Well, this bass sure is amazing!!
It pays and sounds so nice!
Thanks for all the info, it had really helped understand the electronics, and how to manipulate it's wonderful tone!

One thing I don't know, did these every come in a 35scale? Out just feels more like my 35 than my 34s, and the B string is super punchy!

Odd, the usual 6 string Elan/Europa is (I think) an 11 piece neck lam.

OK, when I said all-maple neck, I hadn't noticed you can see it better below the tailpiece; make that 5-piece maple with walnut pinstripes.
