It was an amazing experience and I was treated like a rock star!

Gibraltar is beautiful too.

The band I'm playing with is 'The Second Sons'

Here is an after gig picture from last night with my NotStrictlyJazz quartet and new Alembic Series I bass. There were some photo's taken during the gig so hopefully I will get some sent to me.

A shot from my gig last night at the Jam House in Birmingham with a band called 1 Eye. I took my series I and my alembicised stratocaster. Both sounded awesome through my Fender Twin amp.

It was a new guitar night last night in the house band. I was sporting my new Series I and the guitarist was sporting his new gretsch.

I haven't used my Alembic bass in quite a while, as my wife, Sheila has "taken over" the bass chair. But this Tribute prototype gets lots of use... Here is a link to a vid on youtube. The guitar on the left is a Knaggs, the bass is a Birdsong, and on the right is the Blue Steel Tribute.
The tune is a romp about the absurdity of purchasing a wife via mail order, juxtaposed with the eruption of the Pompeii volcano. (Why ask why?)

If someone ever wondered if an Alembic can fit in a speed metal band, the answer is yes! ;D

Daniel,
That's the beauty of Alembics . . .  they can fit in any genre!

Is that a GK800RB bi-amped in to your Hartke stack?

I would think that they'd be perfect in a speed metal band.

I never would have imagined how maleable it would be. Just the other night went from playing Marvin Gaye to Iron Maiden without needing to touch my amp.

Oh how I wish it was. That one is a brazilian copy of the GK400RB, and not bi-amped, it just happens to have two 4 ohms outs. I am actually looking for a nice deal on a used GK800RB.
