I've been following this thread and the previous one that spawned it, and I've got to tell you, your above post comes as quite a shock.  I'm at a loss as to what caused such a drastic reaction, but I sincerely hope you reconsider.  I think I can accurately speak for this board in stating that you are very much respected and appreciated in this group.  Should you make good on your fare-thee-well, your contributions will be sorely missed. I wish you and yours continued health and happiness.  Should you reconsider, and stay around, all will undoubtedly rejoice.

just a bass player here. you know, the guy that everyone thinks is just supporting while actually holding the whole thing together and figuring out where it's going--all the while without a flinch that shows what's ok and what's not in everyone else's behavior.  so, if a fellow bass player is miffed enough to storm out, it's pretty serious.  i'll echo the last few posts--danno, please don't go.  but if you must, keep us in your thoughts and we'll do the same for you.

Don't really know what happened either, and I've been looking around for the threads that caused this stir. I can only think of the 'small dealers' thread/discussion that was too personal from the start. But all in all it's never a good sign if someone decides to leave a place that the majority of participants (including me) STILL considers to be one of the politest, friendliest places on the web. Directly or indirectly, we can all learn something here...
