How many Dragon Wings are there really out there?

Bobs comment in the Wanted thread made me think about this:
how many Dragon Wings are there really out there yet?
Bob talked about less than six, but I think there are more:
 
Number 1:  Rogers Dragon Wing with the Dragon fingerboard inlay
Number 2:  Cocobolo top, originally with Bass Central, originally
                  reserved for me and after my decision for Tears for
                  John sold by BC to another customer
Number 3:  Alan Dovers DW, cocobolo top
Number 4:  Blonde cuirly maple DW, still with Bassworld UK
Number 5:  my DW, Tears for John
Number 6:  Rick Kesslers first DW, cocobolo, refused from this
                  to have a new one made with custom electronics
Number 7:  On the photoshop that Mica did for Ricks second
                  DW project there is another DW seen, cocobolo top?
Number 8: DW, cocobolo top, currently with Bass Central
Number 9: Ricks new custom electronic DW
 
Mica, can you tell us more about how many are made yet?

Sorry, we don't track individual models. Someday when I store the records electronically I'll be able to query a database, but for now, it's not possible answer accurately.

I know of #10 that will be done in the summer.
 
Quilted maple, with two purple heart /and one ebony stringer. Also side amber LED?s, side jack, with all rear mounted controls, and some other goodies.

Aren't all Alembics (except maybe for Distillates) rear mounted controls?  Or does this mean that this one with have the volume, filter, Q, etc. sticking out of the back of the instrument!!!!

Kind of....The controls will be concealed within the body of the bass. Screw holes in the back plate will give access to adjust the settings via a small screw driver.
 
Nothing (except for the three pic-ups) will protrude the front of the body?s quilted maple.

Wow.... what's the rationale?  Obviously you've planned long and hard for this one, so how come?

If I understand this correctly, you are saying that the only way to change volume, tone, pickup selection, etc., is to use a small screwdriver and go through the back?  So if you are in the middle of a song and want to get louder, you have to take off the bass, pull out a screwdriver, stick it in, adjust, pull it out, put the bass back on, try the volume and see if you got if right - if you did, keep playing and if you didn't, take it off and go through the whole process again?  If I'm wrong, please explain what you mean,  If I'm right, WHY?

This will be my third Alembic. I have been playing out live for over 25 years, and I am just not a big knob turner. Once I have a bass set up, I normally just don?t touch it. If I want a different sound, I?ll use a dedicated bass for that sound.  
 
I use a volume control from a foot pedal and I have mute switches on my Ampeg rigs. If different rooms cause me to tweet the tone, I?ll do that at sound check. 99.9% of the time I play most of my basses ?full on? vol/tone.
 
I think that the DW with no front controls will just look so much cleaner. I THINK that this has been done before by Alembic.

Fish, crazy idea with the backward controls.
But not your idea, sorry. Gibson already had done this on a 1957 Gibson Futura, prototype to the Explorer. It was of Korina and also had the controls mounted on the back. It was displayed in 1957 or 1958 somewhere on a show, don?t remember where....
