The weight can vary significantly depending on the woods used in the construction.  But my '77 weighs around nine pounds and is about 15 inches wide.

Also depends on the body shape and (perhaps less) the scale length.  Is your question about the typical standard (full size) point or omega body style or a small standard (think Stanley Clarke) body?

My '75 standard point long scale with a maple body and Lacewood top weighs in at a solid 11 or 12 pounds, depending on the scale.

First this would be a question for Mica, and secondly the weight and
width of an Alembic Series One would be different depending on the
body style (cut), wood density, and the wood combinations.

I am sure if you gave her the serial numbers to the said 1977 bass in
question, she would have a production data on those characteristics
you request. The Alembics company, ship basses on a daily bases
therefore, I am sure this would be a fairly easy answer.

You might just find other and more interesting things about the 1977
bass too.

Good luck Paul.

I sent this response (it was the first response posted after your question) but somehow my post got deleted?

Anyway, I posted it again.

Good luck on the 1977 series one.
