Right now, the modification is done on two handwired boards, so it's rather expensive. We plan to make a printed circuit board for this mod in the near future.
Another option would be to replace the VVF electronics with Signature electronics with or without Q switches. If you get it without Q switches, you only need to drill 1 additional hole. This would probably be the quickest way to get 2 preamps for the bass.
