On January 25, I purchased Alembic Essence 4-string serial number 6667 from 1991. The owner was Herbert Weidemann from Germany. He had purchased the Essence in 1992 from Mr. Bassmann in Frankfurt. The instrument gave him more than 30 years of enjoyment. He temporarily played the bass as a 5-string bass (with lower string tension), which is why the head stock has a fifth hole for the extra mechanism. This hole is now filled with a beautiful rosette. Otherwise, the bass is back in its original condition.
I have included a picture of the serial number in the ATTACHMENT.
