And I will add a bit of "common misunderstanding" kind of trivia.
"The Fish" was not the name of Joe's band. It was guitarist (and public defender) Barry Melton's nickname. If it was Joe & Barry, no matter who else - if any - others were in the band, it was Country Joe & The Fish. No Barry? Billed as Country Joe McDonald.
