It came up for sale few months ago, and now it popped up again.

Super nice cool looking quilted maple!

Wowee.
Can someone explain how those electronics compare to Signature/ Series electronics?
Sad for whomever is saying goodbye to that beautiful thing.

It appears that the pickup configuration differs form the two instruments . The instrument in Japan (Reverb) has 3 pickups and the instrument in Germany (Thomas Stahr) has 2 pickups. Thus perhaps the electronics might differ as well ? The 3 pickup design interests me :) .

I bought this bass and have a post in the Serial Number request section: https://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=28787.0

Definitely the most unique sounding Alembic I've ever played and the angle middle pickup changes everything including the electronics. Hoping to learn the history because adding that pickup and it being tilted changes it's tonal character.

The neck is perfect, setup is nice and it plays & sounds like a dream. Just surprising and unexpected lush low mids with extremely tight highs because of the angle & maple top.
