After the F-1X, but Big Brown and Mission Control both have one channel of an SF-2 for each pickup that then went into an F-2B, so next time I use it I will try the SF-2 before the F-1X or F-2B.

Why not use the effects loop on the F1-X for non-stereo operation?

My stereo series rack has the SF-2 before my F-2B as i was having gain staging issues with the reverse configuration. For my mono rack the SF-2 is set to mono mode and patched into the send/return loop of my F-1X.

Update on the series filter configuration:
Everything works fine. This is now my standard. I tried it with three instruments.
1. Electric cello. Dry signal plus LPF on CH A, HPF on CH B
2. 5-string fretless with onboard low pass filters. Dry signal only CH A, HPF CH B.
3. 6-string fretted. LPF only CH A, HPF CH B

SF-2 is quite versatile.
