OK, after looking again, I'm going to revise my opinion; I seem to be seeing a scroll on the upper bass bout.

Does anyone know what ever became of Dave Torbert's Alembic?  ???  The old thread says it was a '73, and I gotta' think pretty early in '73 to have that pattern and hardware package... Dave passed away in '82, so it wasn't really all that old at the time. For that matter, neither was he.  :-[

Just wondering. Phil's 'Mission Control' bass was badly hacked up and left in a storage locker. Hopefully this one is surviving somewhere.

I as well , would be interested to find out as to  what has become of it, and what the serial number is . Perhaps it is close to my 73-32 :)
