I too have recently discovered the beauty of the pick on my Alembics. I recorded 2 tracks on my band's latest record that way and it really brings out the classic Alembic tone and helps cut through that wall of guitars. Live, it will always be fingers though. My volume pedal will take care of the rest :-)
