Hi Brian,
It sometimes takes awhile for Alembic to pull the build record on your bass.

In the meantime if you post a pic or two there are some pretty sharp folks here who can point out details on your “new favorite”.

That's got to be a pretty early Epic. Officially they came about in 1994, so this little lady may be from a test run or the first batch? Anxiously awaiting Mica's findings from the Great File Cabinet.  :D

Welcome to the Alembic Club, Brian.  :)

We love pictures here, if you have a chance to post some in the Epic Showcase Thread: http://club.alembic.com/index.php?board=699.0

Here's what I was able to find in the file:

top: Bubinga
accent: Maple pinstripe
body: Mahogany
neck: 5-piece Maple
scale: 34" long
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: None
controls: volume, pan, bass, treble, mono output
originally made for: Pyramid Guitars (I think in MI)
birthday: November 16, 1993

As for the official intro date, I admit I compiled that by looking in the cabinets for the earliest numbers, so it may be _slightly_ off - oops!
