All of his experience (and budget) and all he can use is Eden ? ? ? ? Come on, man . . . . . . . did he pass on using the Meyer gear ? ? ?

According to the article, the picture of the Edens is from 2009; so not the rig he's been using more recently.

they didn't even mention the Osage Orange bass, that's a pretty monumental omission.

As for Eden...I can't speak to what they are doing now, but I always thought they made great sounding gear.  I've got a WT800 and 2x12 from around 2006 or so that sound fantastic...I've started using a demeter bass 400 due to the weight savings, but every now and than ill bring the WT800 out and am never disappointed.

I've got one of those Eden 4x10 cabs for my studio bass rig.  Phil may have used them, but I'll bet he never had to move one!  They sound great but are a beast when it comes to weight.  About 100 lbs. each.

You may have a point, Bill.  I once helped a bass player put together a 3-way rack rig of a 1X18 folded horn, an SVT 8X10 converted to 2X10/1X15/2X10, pushed by either a Furman crossover & Ashley preamp or the other way around into a Yamaha P2500 (IIRC) & the power section of an Acoustic 360.

Many years later he told me he was using some little Class D-type thing into a Hartke 1X15; when I asked him why not the big rig, he said because he didn't have me to schlep it anymore.......

Must admit, I would like to hear "Chain-Links" through that rig, whether it's Phil's current setup or not.  ;D
