So, I was reading the history of Fleetwood Mac on Wikipedia, and I got to the part where Clifford Davis obtained the rights to the name "Fleetwood Mac" and proceeded to take another band on tour, billing them as the genuine article. Lawsuits ensued, Fleetwood, McVie, McVie, Welch, and Weston (?) got the rights to the name back to the extent they could start recording, and the "Fake Fleetwood Mac" was long gone as was Davis.
And then it seemed to me that a band named something like "The Return of the Fake Fleetwood Mack" could be largely unmistakeable for the genuine band, as "fake" is in the title, and "Mack" is spelled differently. It seemed funnier to me that while mildly entertaining, mildly, it could sound at least like a legitimate coverband's name.
So, I thought I'd ask the Forum, even though this idea would never be realized, nor should it, is immature, dumb, and is just bad, what are the funniest off-brand/shameless rip-off band names that you can think of which carry disclaimers in their name to avoid a "cease-and-desist" letter?
-A classical metal jam band, "Swedish Phish"
-A French Prince tribute band, "Le Petit Prince"
And I ran out after those three. Takers? No?
