Gizmodrome
« on: November 19, 2017, 03:15:14 PM »
Just got and listened to my copy of Gizmodrome, the group that features Stewart Copeland (Police), Adrian Belew (King Crimson), Vittorio Cosma (Italian keyboard) and MARK KING (GOD).
IMHO this is a wonderful album. I love Stewart Copeland's voice and drumming and for us bass players, it is a fantastic example of Mark King's fingerstyle, growly style.
Thoroughly recommended.
I feel that this deserves a separate post rather than the 'What are you listening to now' - with respect.
As an aside, did anyone watch Gregory Porter's programme about vocalists? The first one featured Ella Fitzgerald as a newbe from the streets to The Apollo Harlem and an insight to her scat style that came across as all the different horn sections in her voice......Respect (yes, Aretha she was on as well).

OK, I'm gonna HAVE to hunt that down.

I imagine it's not going to be like "I advance Masked" ,
 the other Crimson(Fripp)/Police(Summers) collaboration.

Thanks Glynn

found this...I hear everything from Eno/Byrne to Lone Rhino(Belew)...still taking it all in.
