I don't recall seeing that type of fret position inlays on an alembic before.

I noticed that too. Stickers, maybe?  ???  Nashville is a wonderfully strange place.   ;)

I used to have a 5 string Epic, which I really liked. The only thing I missed was the fret markers on the fretboard, which it did not have. I sometimes gig on dark stages.
