Mutant Beast: Ken Smith with Series I electronics

There is a 1990 Ken Smith for sale in the Talkbass classifieds with what the seller claims are Series I electronics installed by Ron Wickersham. I don't think of ever seems Series electronics in a bass made by somebody other than Alembic, except of course those old Guild Starfire jobs from the early 70's.
