$2,500 for a 2004 5-string Europa?  I've seen 4-string Essence, Epics and Spoilers going for that price or higher recently.  If this is legit, someone should grab it FAST. I would, but I already have a 6-string Europa.

Insane deal! Chrome hardware and dense stringers in the neck for a meaty tone. Pretty maple top, the only thing missing are LEDs.

Yeah it seems like a good deal to me too. It's a lovely looking bass and from the picture it seems slightly flourescent but I'm sure its the light. I have seen some dark blue Europa's around on line but I don't recall one this bright. In any case Alembic choose some gorgeous woods I like to see them through the paint. :-) It it's up for sale by anyone here on the forum, I wish you all the best.
The sound of Alembic is medicine for the soul!

Wondering if the chrome affects the tone relative to brass hardware?  Probably negligible.  Could anyone estimate the typical weight for a Europa with these wood combos?

Says that the listing has ended. I wonder if it was sold or pulled? Or if it wasn't real to begin with?

This one went fast as it was very reasonably priced. Unfortunately, it seems that Alembics like this bass  are more the exception than the rule. The prices I've seen recently for everything from Epics to Series basses are so high that they just keep getting relished. I've seen some that have been on eBay for two plus years.
