This is my old flame and first Alembic. The owner sent me an email quite some time ago just to say hi and to let me know the bass was in safe hands. The chap who's selling it,Drew, is a great guy who really looks after every customer (and he makes great coffee).

I wish I could afford and justify this. I'm afraid my gigging days are probably over now. I suffered a partial stroke in March 2016 and last month I had two heart attacks in four days and have recently returned home following a quadruple heart bypass. The stroke has left me with a weakened left side, almost no balance and slightly impaired speech among other things. I'm unable to play for more than a few minutes but Godammit I'll keep trying, things are overwhelming at times but hey, I'm grateful to still be here.I still have my basses including my beloved AM061 20th Anniversary bass. It's been my inspiration to keep trying.

Anyway, back this bass (sorry for the rambling paragraph above). Whoever buys this bass will be getting an absolute peach of an instrument and great service from Drew. He ships worldwide and is a standup guy to deal with. If you're in the UK I strongly recommend going to take a peek should you be interested.

My best to you all.

A conductor friend of mine had a near fatal series of heart attacks and ended up losing a lot of movement in one side of his body.  With a lot of patience, he is now starting to get back to conducting....so don't lose heart! (sorry bad pun)....and a beautiful looking bass too!
