having fun with music again...
« on: February 25, 2017, 01:06:35 PM »
Been feeling pretty negative about music and playing bass overall for awhile now..In large part I think it was just because of the folks I was playing with....Personality clashes, and the fact that I just simply did not like the drummer at all from an ability standpoint as well as a personality standpoint...

I should have dumped those guys long ago but it was just too convenient of a situation. Rehearsals were 5 minutes away at a studio that had a bass amp...that all ended some months ago for a variety of reasons. Hooked up with a new drummer who just simply grooves better...short snippet from last week after not playing at all for several months. Lineup isn't exactly what I want, but the important thing is they are cool and fun to hang with... https://soundcloud.com/glocke12/stranger-jam

Gregory glad to hear things are looking up.  I recall the frustration in a few of your other posts.

It's excellent that you've identified that it's not the music that's turned you off, but the people, and now you've found some cool folks to play music with again. I've been mostly playing with guys 20 years my junior for a while now, and it's been good for me in every regard. Glad you're enjoying it again.
