Fingerboard Dirt
« on: January 21, 2017, 07:28:30 PM »
I bought a used bass recently and got around to cleaning it today.  I wiped the fingerboard down once with a moist cloth and the photo below shows what I got.  Looks like it has not been cleaned in a long time!  I oiled the fingerboard and it took three full soakings. Cleaned, polished, new strings and set up, good as new!  :)

Thanks, Greg, it really has a brighter sound, must be all the maple.  I like it, it's a lot like the maple Orion I used to have...

...and your new custom build will be pretty sweet!!  :)
