Orion 5-string, with added Filter + Q

Too rich for my blood, but interesting because of the East-Meets-West conversion... other than Flip's fretless Orion, I haven't seen this done. Cool.  8)

I don't know the going rate today but when I bought my 5-string Orion with Essence electronics back around this time the street price was around $2350. I'd peg the used price for mine around $1800-$2100 which is what I would also say is the range I would expect this to be (even with EMW).

Agree, that's a bit steep.  ;)  And I think it may be in Korea. (KR. ?)  ???  I do like the extra purpleheart accent and maple pinstripe between the koa and ash... Classy, kinda' like your custom fretless.  8)

(in the spirit of Alembic CSI) It looks like maybe they moved the jack to the side, and used the hole for the Filter pot. I guess just drilled one small hole for the Q-switch. FC managed to stuff all his upgrades into the existing control cavity without moving the jack. http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=8798.0

I'd been wondering for a while if it could be done thataway too.  :D
