Ok I looked at the file and except for the top wood I had it right..
The top & back are made of Myrtle and the peghead veneers are indeed Zebrawood.
The scale lenght is 24 & 5/8
Completion date was 6/8/78

Valentino,

You da man!

Kendall,

Welcome to this group.  Your guitar is beautiful, I can only imagine how great it sounds.

I've been known to strum a guitar from time to time, and I agree with you, Alembics are the finest I've ever played.  It's always nice to have another guitarist aboard. We're becoming a small but mighty force in our own rights.

Again, welcome.

Hollis

So the scale length is 1/8 less than a typical Gibson?!?!? Weird~ any explanation for that?

Beautiful guitar Kendall!  There's quite a contingency of those six string piccolo basses building here.

Thanks valvil, I appreciate the effort.
Actually, my brother bought it over a year ago on ebay, and thought it was a bass. He was so frustrated, it sat for a year. I had no interest in even seeing it. I went with him to a music store to help him negotiate the guitar for an alembic bass they had up there, the guy plugged it in, and I never negotiated so hard before in my life, cause I decided that guitar was MINE. PERIOD. NO TAKE BACKS! And the rest is history.
