So many times when boards like this go through a major upgrade, much useful information is lost.
Yeah, this was the part that was the hardest! Most of the time I see people just lock the old board and start a new one and say, "look at the old site for the archives" but what happened yesterday is not an archive, and the flow of conversations gets all messed up. It was really important for me to bring the whole club over and keep it intact. All of the Alembic Club members have worked for many years to make this place as nice as it is, and we needed to honor all that effort.
We did wind up hiring a developer with experience migrating Discusware forums. But we presented him with some new problems to overcome. Ralph has been professional and worked very late nights to get this ship sailing. So if you run across someone with a Discusware board that wants to migrate, have them contact me for a recommendation.
There are still a few wrinkles to iron out, but most of it is stuff you probably won't notice as we go along checking off one or two a day. If something more major is changed we'll let you know what's going on.
