Mac compatability
« Reply #15 on: February 01, 2005, 04:04:27 AM »
I moved from pc to mac about a 18 months ago and never looked back. I still have a pc though for some freelance programming work I do. In fact the photo's of the alembics look much more impressive on the mac screen than the pc....
:-)
Rolls Royce Bass & Rolls Royce Computer.... expensive but worth it.
The sound of Alembic is medicine for the soul!

Mac compatability

Shaun,

Apple are introducing a low-cost version of the Mac, which is basically just the processor box. Excellent option if you already have a decent monitor (of course you'll have to check with Apple if they support your monitor). Not sure if a keyboard and a mouse are included in the package - I don't suppose you can use Windows-compatible devices - also not sure when they become available.

And for those who comment on the superior quality of the Mac screen, well, that's exactly what it is: superior quality. Most Windows computers simply have inferior screens and video adapters. That's one of the reasons why Macs are so expensive.

This coming from a 100% Windows person ... but for my thing, I'm not sure Apple has anything to offer that Windows is lacking. (Let the flaming commence! LOL)
