Alembic jewelry?

Mica,  how about a scaled down logo necklace??
Paul's does look quite nice,  maybe 25%-35%
of actual size, or would that still be cause for concen?? Maybe the size of the pin or slightly smaller. It could be kept in the family as suggested for registered owners only. I prefer something simple like that as opposed to a ring.
I work with my hands and rings can be dangerous.
Thanks

Hi All,

Unfortunately a cast logo in any proportion would be a concern of it finding it's way onto non-Alembic instruments. Whilst those of you in the club are more experienced with things Alembic would know better,  a neophite to all of this would not and have not in the past only to be defrauded and disappointed.

We do what we can to avoid and protect these situations from occuring. Afterall, we don't want their first  Alembic experience to be tainted in such a manner.

That's why I feel one of the reasons this club with all you members looking out for one another is so important.

Many times one or a dozen members has spotted a fake Alembic and alerted Mica who deals with the problem right away.

But take heart, there will be more logo items in the future what & when I can't say for sure what will come first. My thoughts for a Logo type of necklace would be to make an Alembic coin that could be sized as a necklace, earring  in sterling silver or a key fob. This would be far more durable than a logo in the openwork style that as a necklace can break as brother Paul TBO found out.

Yep ...it broke because it IS the real logo you Alembicians use on guitars. It's rather thin. But ...being the bad one I am ...I guess it's safe around my neck and it WILL be repaired ...eventually ...once ...ever ...
I think the logo in a larger circle or embossed in a kind of coin and useable as a hanger or in a ring ...nice!

Ya I want some Alembic jewelry!  Not for me, but for someone I love dearly, my bass.  In specific, I want this:

Don't want nuttin that would scratch my baby, so no rings or medallions for me.  How much would it be to have the regular logo replaced with this one - which I think is gold plated - a must in my case.  Might be the perfect birthday present for my favorite possession.
Note:  Logo photo snitched from someone's custom order that Mica just posted and I downloaded it, rather than going back to it every five minutes to ogle it and envy someone I don't know . . .
Note Also:  I am distorting Malthumb's bass economy theory by buying the bass and then instead of selling it to buy a better one, just sending it home to be improved, bit by bit.
