Roger McGuinn today on NPR
« on: July 29, 2006, 12:22:47 PM »
Just heard Roger (James Joseph McGuinn III) on the Woods Songs folk music show on our local NPR Station at Murray State University, Ky. He was playing his 12 string Ric from the Byrds days and also playing his invention a 7 string Martin Acoustic. The double string is a 'G' and he says that is what he needs to get the 12 string sound and still have a very playable acoustic that he can carry in a gig bag on his overhead compartment during Airliner trips. WoW! (that may be it on the stand to his left).

Thanks, Dave. I really enjoy the interviews with the guests on the Woods Songs Show. I was happy to hear McGuinn on it this weekend. He has a new album (CD! other?) Hope you had a great weekend! It is hot, hot here in Mid Tenn. I bet it is in N.C. and just about everywhere.

Yes, the US appears to be experiencing a record heat wave.  I'm sitting in front of the fan just trying to cool off.
