Fantastic photos Reinier! You should put them up in the showcase section. I love the way Jimmy has made a 'christmas tree' out of his string ends instead of clipping them ;-)

Apologies! The last two links apparently point at pics of Chad Wackerman and although he's got his hands full, he's not holding a beautiful SII..... Here are the two links I had in mind posting:

Good stuff Graeme! Hadn't even noticed (but did notice he's apparently still using GHS Boomers, which turn dull a bit too quickly for my taste).

When I spoke to JJ here in NL last year, I had the pleasure of having this bass around my neck for a few minutes (I couldn't play 'cause I had cut one of my fingers gardening....). What was most striking was the weight: it is much lighter than my JJ Signature. One of the reasons (the others probably being hollow body wings and a huge cavity for the SII guts?) Jimmy told me is that he still orders his SII's with what reportedly was a production error on a few early Alembics: an aluminium bridge block. Perhaps some of our club members have an instrument with this feature? I guess on a total of some 5 kilos, every ounce counts...
