Stanley Clarke Magazine Feaures
« on: November 21, 2007, 06:23:54 AM »
FWIW, Stanley interviews are the featured cover story in the current issues of both Downbeat Magazine and Jazz Improv Magazines. He talks about the state of jazz, upright playing and a possible Return To Forever reunion (amongst other things). Unfortunately, no mention of Alembic and no pix of him and his Alembic(s). Enjoy!

There are others from earlier in the year:

Cheers,

Kevin

PS. he does have a new Album out The Toys Of Men (mentioned elsewhere on this site) which features the new Custon Alembic presented to him as a gift by the Wickershams on the cover and a new vid (from 2002) entitled Night School: An Evening with Stanley Clarke & Friends which has something to do with the scholarship fund he sponsors.

Read the interview with stanley in the uk guitar and bass magazine a couple of weeks ago. He really has been a wonderful, loyal Alembic supporter for such a long time. I guess loyalty is scarce nowadays...its testament to the quality of Alembic basses!!
