What's in your gig bag

I guess our gig bags are the equivalent of womens purses(handbags in the UK). They hold everything!.
I usually do a clean out every couple of months to keep it all in order.

I put a bass in there.. unlike the rest of you. JK

I put a lot in my pedalboard as well as far as cables and other supplies.  Usually in my bag, I just put some cables, a SansAmp, strap, 9V, deoderant (as well), change of shirt for the poor saps who want to hug me after a show.

Much of the above, and clothespins and large elastics to keep the music on the stand on breezy outdoor gigs.

Bag 1: finger cymbals, a flexatone, a triangle, 2 towels, 3 elastic wristbands (one is a Dead stealie logo), 2 or 3 shirts (1 for each set), an umbrella,  a 20 ft square clear plastic tarp, mini stereo to mini stereo cable (so I can listen to my recording of the show on the way home), headphones and a portable cd player, and a jaunty little leather biker cap

Bag 2: my Shure wireless bodypac and receiver (only used on LARGE stages), several 9 volt batteries, 3 spare Speakon cables, spare Monster cable, EH Small Stone phase shifter, Boss RV-3 digital reverb/delay, 2 George L low capacitance cables, a Fostex TT-15 test tone generator, and a spare set of strings

I've got one of those Levy's leather bags.  It holds the bass, of course, and in the small top pocket, there's the allen and truss rod wrenches, 2 12AX7's, a small screwdriver, multitool, bottle of pachouli in a girl's sock, and my red, white and blue sweatband.

In the big pocket, there's my 5-pin cable, picks, tuner, couple short signal cables, batteries, cloth diaper, digital multimeter, couple more sweatbands, lighter, toothbrush, and toothpaste.

My main man-purse is my backpack, which goes wherever I travel.  It's got all kinds of weird stuff in it, including whetstone, spare mag, chopsticks, and nail polish :-)
