It's after 2:00am, and I just got back from the show.. You guys are in for a treat. The band was great..I even got shake Chick Corea's hand....Time for some sleep......
Royce Hall is a small theater, holds about 400 people. Our seats were about halfway back. we sat there during the 1st set(1 hour)saw some old people leave down front so we swooped on their seats(5th row center) for the 2nd set(1 hour).....So they played 2 hours with a 30 minute break. The set was a mix of new compositions by Chick Corea, Johns McLaughlin's music. Christian McBride is a monster on bass. In a Silent Way was the encore. McLaughlin was tearing it up. Plays a Godin guitar, his pedals were a Mesa V-Twin, MXR Chorus, and a MXR Cabon Copy delay. He plays straight into the sound system. Chick played two electric keyboards, both Yamaha's, as was the grand piano....

I was suprized not to see Chick with a Fender Rhodes, and a MiniMoog..
McBride played a Fretless 5 string electric, I couldnt tell what brand it was. It looked like a jazz bass, but it wasnt a Fender. He also played a string bass, very cool.. My friend got a camera in, but it was tough taking pictures. They had a bunch of oriental girls as ushers, and they were running around telling everyone no camera's, no camera's Lol.. I'll have to see what he managed to get..

I just got back from the Denver show. What a treat!

I think Chick's sounds were coming from Mainstage on a Mac as well as the internal sounds of the keyboards. He also played acoustic grand quite a bit.

Excellent show! I highly recommend catching this tour when you can.
