Wolf (Wolfy?), it's a slightly wacky tuning, but not that weird. And the typical piccolo strings. It's a very snappy sound, and, for whatever reason, very expressive.

Dave....oh yeah, I like it too. It's just freaky. It takes on this huge, gothic quality at times. Imagine listening to this for two weeks straight. I'm pretty tripped out!

'Tis done.

Actually, listening via the box player, it seems it plays through the tracks I've got loaded up there, which is currently four...so if you load the player via any of the two links above, it'll play through everything.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, they helped me finish.

Ok, here's the whole blessed thing, should anyone be interested.

I have to say, Slap turned out to be the best thing in here. The total throwaway, not even a song, etc. Funny how these things work. I'd probably rank the top three as Slap, The Umbrellas, and Haunted Houses.

The Kermess has a very folk-dancey, even medieval feel, named after the painting by Breughel (and poem by William Carlos Williams).

Positive Venus is a combination of two earlier pieces, Positive Violence and Venus, thus making Positive Venus.

Ariel is an attempt to do a pretty piece that doesn't turn ominous, like Haunted Houses. Also shorter. Haunted Houses is better, though.

June Gloom is sort of Indian-inspired, with a sitar type sound, and structurally, it's the same riff repeated at various rhythms. Check out the ending and tell me you'd think that's a bass.

Grazie.

I changed the title of June Gloom to Darjeeling Express. Why? Because it references both train sounds and Indian music. Not a movie I'm particularly interested in -- I think I saw about five seconds of it -- but I'd have to guess people who like that movie could also appreciate this music.
