Hal, thanks for pointing out how great it is to breathe...I work in a pawnshop, so I deal with all kinds of people in all kinds of needs; you gotta navigate them all the time as to what they REALLY are...sometimes they are folks in a real bind, sometimes they are other things...the trick is to balance the whole equation which sometimes is saving the customer from themselves...just in case you all thought pawnbrokers were all evil, we're not; my boss maybe, but not me(actually, he's not evil, but he is cheap, with small man syndrome...)...Tony.

Dave, this amps scares me.

It the best amp I ever used, and it's probably the last amp I would ever need. Whenever I find a great tool, I like to own two.

Ah yes, my rig is the Mesa Boogie M-2000 with two 2x10 Mesa cabs and the road ready 1x18...used it for outdoor and opening acts playing contmeporary jazz...I had a custom 5-string made for those days...now, after getting my Essence 5-string last week...it will be a sweet sound...however, playing smaller gigs now and looking at the new TC Electronics 450 combo amp to save me the pain of hauling amps...I used to have a Chevy dually to haul my Mesa gear...have to depend on the guys now (LOL)

Patricia, if you are in the market for an amp with a small footprint and a big sound, check out the G-K MB Fusion here. (Scroll down the page to see the amp)
I tried both this amp and the TC 450 at the NAMM Show past January. I did prefer the G-K, 3 ea. 12ax7 tube pre, and 500 watts. 4.5 lbs of big sound patched into a 4x10 cab. I think this amp and a 2x10 cab with neo magnet drivers, would be one heck of a club rig. I do believe it is not quite avaiable, but should be soon.

To make a long story short, I started to go with the Mesa Boogie Titan V12 and call it a day. However, I wanted a graphic equalizer on board, and the smoothness and fullness of tubes with the tactical attacks, with architecture of a solid state amp. Clearly, I wanted 2 amps, because I wanted one as a backup for times when one might be off line; or when used for second instrument. When you think about it, "2" amps may be better than one. However, the thought of owning "2" Titan V12's (2400 watts total @ 8 Ohms) would be plain silly for me. There's no way, I would be needing "that-much-dam-power" -- unless it came with a steering wheel, and tires... forget it. Maybe some of you out-there might think towing around two car batteries would be fun, and with the Titan, that's what you're towing... an RV battery. Not for me (not one bit). Also, I didn't want just raw power. I wanted an amp with pre-amp sound shaping and coloring capabilities with tons of options and configurations. So, the better solution was the MB-Basis M-2000. Production of the M-2000 was discontinued, so finding one was very time consuming, and finding two in pristine condition, would be a dream come true. What I learned from a very reliable insider at Mesa Boogie, they stopped making the M-2000 because it was too costly to produce.
