I don't think you are being ignored. I will say I feel a certain closeness to a limited set of members as I have met or had discussions with them for a number of years. It took some time to get to this point. Because of this I might say some things in short hand or worded in a way that is not clear to someone new. This is not meant as a slight to newer members.  
 
One thing I have noticed since I joined (I'm not an old timer by any means) is the change in how folks relate. Before I joined I followed the board for six or so months. During this time I learned the nature of the board and how people related to each other. When I joined I was then able to fit in with the flavor of the board. This used to be typical for how you worked on the internet with groups. I have noticed this protocol is not used anymore and new folks seem to just pop in before learning how the group interacts. I feel the end result is less that optimal for both the new and old members.  
 
If you are looking for a Series II at some point I would not be put off looking, discussing or posting a wanted to buy here at the club. In the end you will probably get more assistance than you desire and the pricing would be the same as that given to any club member.

I spent about 3-4 years just reading threads on this board before I chimed in, and once I did, it was only after placing the order for my first custom. In hindsight, if had been involved in more discussions earlier, my bass would probably been influenced, and for the better!  
 
When it comes to 'inside deals' on this board, yes there are certain members who offer first-dibs on their instruments via email to other members that they know would be interested. But for the most part, some of the most highly coveted Alembics get dusted off by the random collector/player who's first post is  in the FS section, and from there on out it's fair game to everyone here!...  
 
I'm a true believer in synchronicity, especially with the tools of our trade... that Series II WILL find it's way to you when the time is right!!!!!

In reference to the OP, as most others have said, there is an ebb and flow to this board.  I've posted things which I thought would create much meaningful dialogue, but received zero response.  I've posted things which I was certain were inane ramblings that ended up providing some nice, useful and very thoughtful discussion.  I think lately though everyone (mostly) has been feeling the economic pinch and activity here has been low.  Hopefully things will pickup again soon and the happy chat will resume.  I believe you'll discover that this is a great family.

Its a bummer that your experience so far has not lived up to your expectations and made you feel
ignored and not included.  
Alembic club folks are a mixed bag of every personality trait and foible that you could dare imagine.  
However there is not even a hint of nastiness or ill-will.
