Hey Folks,
If you happen to be looking for an unbelievable 10combo that will ruffle your pantlegs (and just happen to have about $700.00) check this out. It is EVERYTHING it says it is. (no, I do not work for Ibanez)!!!!

I'm in the market but is it loud enough to be a stage fill in a loud band or does it require an extension cab to pull that off?

By its self, probably not. You can add an ext cab OR (this is cool) you can just remove the amp and pair it up with a 2x12 or a 15, whatever you have around. It is designed exactly for that and the amp has plenty of muscle. I drove my EA NL210 with it at rehearsal and it performed well.

Thanks for the info! I'll be purchasing something soon. Small is good, cheap is also good! ;-) I'll keep this amp in mind.

So far, I've found it to be extremely versitile. I take it by itself to smaller rehearsals (bought the carrying bag which also holds the power chord,instrument cable and small tuner and has a shoulder strap). It does great with a light drummer. For bigger (louder) rehearsals, I remove the amp and use a larger cab....and, on gigs, I always take the amp (only) as a backup...you never know what might fail you.

I was checking out the 2X10 combo pushing the full wattage into the combo. I would think that would be more than enough for stage fill at any gig and rehearsal. Im VERY interested in this combo amp.

A little pricy but worth it. Same Day Music gave me a bit of a discout and did not charge freight. Musicians Friend charged to ship it.

Stony I've actually decided to go cheaper with the Peavey Tour TNT 115. (The brand new version) It's only 300WTs RMS at 4 OHMS (they say 600Wts but that's PEAK WTS, very misleading) but because of the size of the cabinet it's actually a very good sounding LOUD combo amp capable of filling a stage without an extension cab. (So actually it's pushing just over 200WTs internally) BUTTTT I can be stage ready for UNDER $500 and since I stopped gigging over a year ago price is a big factor for me. The Ibanez looks amazing however it's $700 and not really gig ready unless you have another cabinet and since I'm looking for a CHEAP way to get back into gigging the Peavey makes more sense for me right now. However thank you for all the advice on the amp. Once money starts coming in from gigging and I can afford something that won't kill my back to move the PROMETHEAN is definitely on my radar!

I use a Roland Bass Cube which is almost the same in layout as this amp.
The only factor is it is rated at 100W but since I don't do loud gigs anymore it is ideal(jazz and latin/salsa)
I did build an extension cab with a 12 bass driver which does help the bottom end.
The Cube has numerous amp models, a comprehensive EQ section, FX and compressor.
It also have a lot of useful outputs especially the balanced DI which can be pre or post EQ plus headphones, line out, speaker and tuner outputs.
I think if Roland upgrade this amp to a higher wattage I would buy one as the Cube is very versatile.

Picked up the Peavey Tour TNT 115 tonight. VERY good as a practice amp and should work fine as a night club stage fill amp. To fill an average 300 seat club it'll have to go through the house sound system and in a LOUD band it may need an extension cab to use the full wattage but for most venues as long as the band runs subs in the front end it'll do the job all by itself. It's HEAVY compaired to the Promethean but light compaired to my old SVT rack and speakers! A good workable compromise for the time being. And the nicest part is after trading in an old single powered front end speaker, a low end Ibanez bass and talking them down because the TNT was a floor model it ended up only costing me $40 out of pocket! Gotta love that!!! Just bought a brand new workable bass amp for a few old instruments that were collecting dust and $40 ... Today was a good day! :-)

I just placed an add in Craigslist and put the word out I'm looking for work. Guess my semi-retirement is coming to an end! Once I secure a decent paying gig who knows ... perhaps I'll be able to get back into the ALEMBIC ownership game?!:-) One can only hope. I'd love to find another Persuader! (Fretless!)
