Or is the color you're thinking of darker?

Hard to tell from the pic on my screen, Harry, but I think it is darker.  Almost like the blue in the add your message here bar.

I've just checked my Curbow fretless, and........Yep.......they are D'Addario Chromes.

I think Jimmy meant the Bass of Doom on the Custom Archive, not the FTC threads. The picture of the (chrome finish) tailpiece shows off the blue windings very nicely.

That was one of my concerns when I ordered the bass and you confirmed it. The string wrappings get lost in the wood. I guess I should have just ordered it in white. ;-)
