I feel you Joey, but my references in this regards were directed at American Iconic manufactures like Fender who had never created a Larry Graham Signature bass.
I am still on the question of how does Marcus Miller and others has a signature bass before the early pioneers and bass contributors like Monk Montgomery, and Larry Graham?
Watching Larry Graham in the 70's playing a Fender, made me want to own a Fender -- but my budget could only afford a Fender copy called a PAN bass (made in Japan).
Fender has a rich history, but their present management are treading the line of ignorance, which I would expected more from their leadership.
When they dedicate a signature bass to Larry, or Monk, I'll be the first in line to own them as a relic investment. However, until that time, I'll just say: its a shame...
