Healing thoughts
« on: July 10, 2014, 09:17:15 PM »
Hey Guys,
This is the first time I ever posted anything like this.
Ever since I found this board I would at least look at it once a day to digest any insight in the instruments we all have grown to Love and admire so much. I found here a sense of professionalism and craftsmanship that seams to be getting lost in a world of ever increasing mediocrity. In my early life and profession I was always Blessed to be surrounded by these kinds of people. Strive to be the best and surround your self with the best. I felt that this way of life was always the case and always will be. Well not necessarily. In fact as I stated there is a growing apathy towards excellence and it's getting harder and harder to find what I used to to for granted.

Im finding myself here more and more lately, even if it's just to escape all the Horrid news we hear all the time. But mostly to be part of the excellence and a group of people who are polite, kind and more than willing to help and share their knowledge.

Well I'm here a bit more lately because I'm recovering from an Ankle Fusion surgery. A few months off my feet for sure.
But I guess what I'm trying to say is that this board is a pretty special place and it's the people who make it this way. From the source, the amazing Alembic family, in engineers  and craftsmen to the members who make up this board. Thank you!

I am a man of faith and knows that any meaningful intentions and prayers a person can get always leads to a more meaningful life.
Thank you again,
Peace,
Pete

Pete,
Ankle fusion does not sound good; in fact it sounds painful and crappy...it's part of the mix of physical/psychic pain that helps us get to Enlightenment, or so the Buddhists would point out, and they are quite possibly right...anyway, I am sending healing vibes now...T0ny

Pete,
I firmly believe in the power of the masses.
I also agree with your reflections on the Alembic club and members.  Good people wanting good for others.

I join the ranks of putting healing thoughts out, knowing that they will join with others prayers and vibes directed towards your betterment.

I pray for your swiftest possible recovery.
May God bless and protect you from further harm
and the love of your Alembic brothers and sisters
surround and comfort you in your time of need.
I hope that some low frequency therapy eases the
pain and helps to provide a path to getting you on your feet

Healing thoughts sent from AZ.

And, here's an attempt to put a positive spin on it:

Since you still have the use of your fingers = more opportunities for quality time with your Alembic - !

Pete; sending healing energy your way.

On your remarks about craftsmanship.  There is a book from the seventies called Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.  It is, among other things, an excellent discourse on the word quality.  It can be a tough read, but well worth it.  It really changed the way that I looked at craftsmanship and other aspects of the quality of our daily lives.

So yes, I agree, we here in this club have an appreciation for quality; in the work we and others do, and in the way we live our lives and share our lives with others.
