So I was on a plane last night flying cross-country watching Jersey Boys on my iPad. (The Four Seasons were my favorite group until I heard The Beatles - pretty tasty for a 9 year old!) anyway, during a scene towards the end, Fankie Valli is singing with a big band in a Vegas type setting with both a stand-up bass and an electirc bass in the band. While I couldn't be sure as it was quite small on the iPad screen, it looked like an Alembic bass (which I don't think would have been around in those days. But then again, it's Hollywood, where Buddy Holly played a post-CBS strat and Eric Clapton played lefty in Tommy).
