Been down the serial number road with Mica to determine the exact build date. The only legible serial number is 112. There should be at least an additional letter. Removing the pickups provided no additional info to accurately date the guitar. For all you detective types I'll post ashot of the fret numbering and close up of the bridge. I find it hard to believe the value would change much it this proves to be an 84 or 89/90 guitar.

The pots might be date stamped.
Have you tried getting an impression of the serial number by using paper and pencil? If not it might be worth a try. I also wonder if it was a four in front of the 112 as I see what looks like part of a numeric stamp.

Looking at the trem rout, I wouldn't be surprised if this originally had a Floyd, which was swapped out at some point. These Kahlers are nice because you don't have to clip the ball end to clamp it.

If it's 4112, the guitar is from '86 (serial number 86 XX 4112 USA) XX = model code, not sure what they used for an Exploiter guitar back then, I think it might be a single X or an E for Electrum.
The Alembic name on the pickup looks weird to me, maybe a transition phase between the blank pickups and the later (pre gold script) version:

Now that you draw attention to the pickups - it appears that the pickup height adjustment screws are a little wonky on the Exploiter. . .

Any interest before it goes back into hibernation?
