Greetings fellow Alembicians,
I have a 2 year old 9.9 out of 10 special edition Stingray Classic 5. It is burgundy mist, rosewood, flame maple neck and white pick guard with matching pickup cover, a gorgeous combination. Ernie Ball calls the color Raspberry Sorbet. Ernie Ball only made 25 of these- rare.
There is a small 1mm nick between frets 9 & 10 on the side of the fingerboard. It is so hard to see I couldn't photograph it. I have no idea how it wound up there.
It is strung with Cobalts and delivers 100% USDA beefy, growly classic Stingray tone. It can be as subtle as you want or bark like a wolf- sweet bass.
I love it and I am only offering it up for sale because the string spacing is too narrow for me. I have huge hands and I need 18mm+ spacing.
I would gladly consider Alembic 5 or 6 string trades such as an Orion. I am also looking for a Yamaha TRB6 JP2 in natural or amber. Otherwise, it is priced to sell for $1600. Comes with gigbag, hang tags and pro set up by me (former Sadowsky tech/luthier).
