Yes, I knew I priced them on the low end for quick sale, but even I was surprised. They are going to all ends of the Earth. One local, one to the East Coast, and one to Europe. They are all superb instruments, so I guess it is no wonder. I apologize to the folks who missed out on the deals.
As to the replacement $15K bass, it is an instrument that will fill the needs of my geriatric body. Fifty-one and I am falling apart! Since I can't see for crap any more, having LEDs in the bass will be wonderful. Also the Balance K should do wonders for my aching back. Even with all the fancy stuff, I am still going to have one of the more basic circuits.
Later this year, I may be ordering an Alembic that will be a cumulative attempt at a dream bass. Spoiler body, Anniversary electronics, maple, ebony and bubinga neck laminates, Santo Domingan mahogany body core, zebra wood accent stripes, and a book matched Gaboon ebony top and back. Truly a sit down only instrument, but it should record like nothing else.
