I like it! Gorgeous instrument. The color appears to work well on the wood. The grain looks beautiful. The combo with chrome hardware is really nice.

I have a Peavey B-quad 4 bass in the same transparant color over a flame maple body, but with gold hardware instead. I like the chrome better.

I wouldn't buy it though. I just like looking at it, while someone else plays it ;-)

I have been watching this bass for a while, its been re-listed due to no bids. It seems a really nice bass however the colour is really not my bag. Also his original price was a bit high.

It looks like an Elan, not a Europa.  Right?  No purpleheart lams and an H serial number.
Relisted from when?  There was one from about 1 1/2 months ago, item 260052368266?  I didn't remember it being in France...
Man, I love that color, if I had it I would name it Barney.

I just looked at winner and looser, it is the same one that sold in November, for sale by the winner.  Bummer that he outbid me if he was just going to flip it.

Same thing happened to me with a distillate.
Guy snatched it up. Now marked up the price by $800. He's having problems selling it.

I exchanged a few emails with the guy overnight, very friendly and helpful.  He said that in early december he picked up a Series 1 and can't afford both.
I told him it was an Elan, but he said that he thought of it more as a Europa because of the electronics and body, and general quality.  I'd be pretty tempted if the price were right, but wanted to give you guys a heads up on what I've learned.
