Universal repurcussions?

I think you'd be spending way more than waiting for a fretted one and wouldn't be that worth it unless you're in love with it, in that case go for it!

That is one pretty bass! I'd leave it as found. Price is good too.

I love the older Alembics. This one has been on ebay before. If I had the money and it was 32and was legit, I'd buy it and do the electronic upgrades.

I have been watching this one for a few months on eBay .He has come down in price a few times . I almost hit BUY IT NOW many times because I have been looking for a fretless ALEMBIC Series with lines. I have a great fretted medium scale Series and medium scale works well for me with frets , HOWEVER I don't know if 32scale  would work fretless for me.   When I play fretless I generally play long scale.   SO , I just keep watching this bass, making up my mind .If it were closer to me I would call the seller and ask to check it out .

I have a question about the description of the bass.  It shows extra $$ for cocobolo wood.  Would that be the top and back laminate, or the core?  The laminates look like walnut to me, and the core is a shade darker than the standard mahogany.

That is a nice bass.

Hey Sonicus,
Is that a 32 or 34 scale?

it says 32 in the description, if I had the money I would definitely buy it to use as a fretless. my only concern is that it looks like the strings would hit that neck pickup while playing!

Daniel; it would be for the top and back laminates.  Interestingly, that quote is 23 years old.

LOL __ It was on my Watch list for months !The price kept getting lower ______ Had it been long scale I would have grabbed it really fast.  I love the medium scale fretted Alembics  , but I was not sure about fretless medium scale______
