Hello fellow Alembinians,
It's so fun to read the responses of our european club members. I have travelled far and wide throughout the Netherlands (Maastricht, Amsterdam,Rotterdam, Noordwijk aan zee, Emmen, Utrecht, Zwolle, Harlingen, Gronigen, Meppel, Den Haag, and on and on) and not once saw an Alembic! I love Dutch country and would love to come back and visit again. I'm happy to see that Alembics are well represented there. I live in Connecticut now, and enjoy seeing Alembics being played in clubs occasionally.
I'm getting ready for Alembic #4. I hope to slow down for a while after that. You can see a couple of my basses at
www.hilgraves.com/bryant If any body is interested, I am selling my Wineburst Orion 5. She is perfect- except that I really want an all natural finish bass. I have the urge to get a Walnut or Amboyna burl topped bass, probably an Orion 5. We'll see what comes of it.
For your extra basses, do any of you play fretless bass or all fretted? Just curious.
Pluckin', thumpin', poppin', groovin',
