Bought in NY Jan 1998 at Rudy's Music Stop(he signed the reciept) Bubinga top laminate, medium scale. Owned now for almost ten years, gigged regular.

Have been contributing to this forum for ages now but never got around to posting bass..jacko prompted me..thanks

Plays like a dream and sounds superb..all and more than I expected when I got it.
Still find tones that I didn't know were there even now after ten years

Terry, that's got to be the most amazing looking piece of Bubinga I've ever seen!  Flame Bubinga?  I got my Taylor 810 at Rudy's while on a 48th Street pilgrimage back in about '94.  Unfortunately, 48th Street ain't what it used to be, guitarwise.  Gorgeous bass!

That top really is amazing Terry. next time I'm down at my Aunt's in Northallerton I'll try to find time to drop in. That's one I'd really love to see in the flesh (along with georgieboy's series 1).

Wow, that's the nicest looking Bubinga I've ever seen!!!  I almost got a Series I with Bubinga recently... decided to get a MK Signature Deluxe (with Coco Bolo) instead (TOUGH DECISION)...

If I'd got the Series I with Bubinga, I'd have wanted it to look like yours.  What a stunning looking bass!!!

When I renew the strings I polish the brass as I removed the laquer as it was tarnished underneath when I first got the bass. The brass almost looks gold like when it is done.
The finish comes up great with Alembic's own polish solution.
Thanks for all the comments
