Alembic Series I Guitar #74-78

All Koa wood, The VERY thin neck was probably made by Bruce Becvar(who still makes guitars in Hawaii). The  guitar was made while Rick Turner,Doug Irwin,Bruce Becvar, and Hobart Giacopetti(sp?) were the builders.

Unique (and beautiful) guitar you've got there, Douglas!
Very unusual headstock.

Tame them strings, fella! That's dangerous!
Beautiful back wood that one's got.

That headstock was fairly typical for guitars at the time. Also typical is the more figured wood on the back. That's a sweet piece of Koa there.

The info on the neck comes from Rick Turner who related that they were always ribbing Bruce for his extremely thin necks.
