Yeow! Man Steve, I'd hate to pick which one of these to leave behind. I guess there's no hard rule says you can't take three basses to a gig.  ;D

Very, 3X nice.  8)

I hope I never have to be in a situation to take 3 alembics to a gig. .......... Oh hang on I already did but that was because it was in a world class Symphony hall in my home city. It would have been disrespectable not to. :-)

BTW I can't see Steve's basses in the posting but I know what they look like. :-)
The sound of Alembic is medicine for the soul!

NOW I see the pics!  Beautiful.  At first glance, the Series on the far right looked like a 10-string, the way it caught the sun!
I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

Beautiful! Is the finish coloration of the basses that different or is it just a function of how the sun is reflecting off each bass?

The color differences are real.  The Series I bass on the right has a "vintage yellow" tint to the quilt.  The other 2 basses are finished in clear coat, and what you are seeing in the natural variation in the wood color.
