Had the pleasure of meeting Hank Futch of South Carolina based The Blue Dogs (est 1987) in Asheville, NC last night.  Had a great time at the show and was pleasantly surprised to see a Classico up close and personal.  Hank bought his Classico new in 1995 (Washington, DC) and has been using it since.  The band was very entertaining, the crowd really enjoyed themselves and they sounded great (especially Hank - ha, a bit of bass bias). I had a great time, thanks Hank!

Cool pics. I bet that Bass can growl pretty swell .  I have always wondered how a Classico sounds Arco (bowed) .

Nice tone, but it sounds like an electric bass... which it is.  I guess I thought they would sound more like an acoustic upright.

Mike , Yes, the tone is nice I agree, that is why I am really interested in hearing one of these Bass's played Arco. I went to the hear the San Francisco Symphony last week end and at one point there were seven double Bass's being played Arco. I later had a vision how cool it would have sounded with  seven Classicos! All Bowed !!! WOW ________ And those players are all Arco Monsters!  I played Double for a while and french bowed but I was never really happy with my arco playing .
